MINSK, 16 March (BelTA) – Belarus and Turkey are showing interest in strengthening military cooperation, BelTA learned from the website of the Belarusian Defense Ministry.
The meeting between Chief of the International Military Cooperation Department, Assistant to the Defense Minister for Foreign Military Policy Oleg Voinov and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkey to Belarus Nilvana Darama took place on 15 March.
“The parties exchanged opinions on the international and regional security matters, discussed the state and prospects of the Belarusian-Turkish military cooperation, and confirmed the interest of the two countries in further development and strengthening of bilateral cooperation in the military sector,” the Defense Ministry said.
