MINSK, 12 November (BelTA) – Plans are in place to hold the second Belarus-Turkey investment forum in 2021, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Embassy in Turkey.
“Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Turkey Viktor Rybak has met with Turkish Minister of Trade Ruhsar Pekcan. The parties emphasized the high level of political ties between Belarus and Turkey and stressed the importance of expanding the trade and economic cooperation,” the embassy noted. They also discussed preparations for the Belarus-Turkey investment forum.
Viktor Rybak and Ruhsar Pekcan exchanged opinions about approaches to the development of the Belarusian-Turkish cooperation in trade and investment in the context of the implementation of agreements reached at the meeting of the two heads of state in Ankara in April 2019.
The parties focused on improving mechanisms to intensify the bilateral trade cooperation, stressing the importance of launching the mutual trade facilitation system – the so-called green corridor – as soon as possible.
