Belarus to take part in medical innovations expo in Azerbaijan

MINSK, 4 September (BelTA) -  A Belarusian collective stand under the title Belarus will open at the international medical innovations expo Medinex which will be held in Baku, Azerbaijan on 6-7 November, BelTA learned from the National Marketing Center of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“In the last few years, export of Belarusian pharmaceuticals to Azerbaijan increased. Azerbaijan partners showed interest in medical services in the fields of oncology, surgery, cardiology, organ transplantation, gynecology, in vitro fertilization, and plastic surgery. According to the statistics, in 2018 Belarusian healthcare institutions provided over Br2.5 million worth of services to citizens of Azerbaijan,” the center said.

The Medinex expo aims to demonstrate achievements in various medical fields. The expo will showcase medical equipment, laboratory and pharmaceutical equipment, pharmaceuticals, medical services, information technologies in medicine, and so on. The key sector of the expo will be an innovation zone displaying the latest achievements of the medical industry. This year Medinex will feature companies from Belarus, Azerbaijan, Austria, Germany, Italy, Russia, Ukraine, and other countries. The Belarusian exposition will be organized by the National Marketing Center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in association with the Belarusian embassy in Azerbaijan.

The forum of medical innovations Medinex will take place on the sidelines of the expo. It will include a scientific conference and master classes. Participants of the collective exposition will also visit specialized clinics in Baku.
