MINSK, 11 February (BelTA) - Belarusian woodworking and furniture companies will participate in the Meble Polska 2019 furniture fair in the Polish city of Poznan on 12-15 March, BelTA learned from the National Center of Marketing.
Meble Polska has the status of the largest integrated furniture exhibition in Poland and is the largest event in the field of interior design in Central and Eastern Europe. In 2018 the fair occupied the exhibition space of 42,000 m2. It drew more than 167 companies and over 23,600 visitors from 59 countries.
Poland annually increases the import of furniture, the National Center of Marketing informed. In January-September 2018 it reached $676 million, which was 12% from the same period a year prior. Furniture made of wood accounts for the biggest share (40%). Furniture parts made of various materials holds the share of 31% of total imports and metal furniture 25%.
In terms of furniture deliveries Belarus is 13th largest partner of Poland. In January-September 2018 the export of Belarusian furniture to Poland amounted to $12 million, which was up 14% as against the same period a year earlier. Belarus delivers wooden furniture for dining rooms and living rooms (54% of the total), wooden bedroom furniture (21%), furniture parts (14%).
Participation of the Belarusian companies in Meble Polska 2019 has been organized by the National Center of Marketing.
