Belarus plans to supply equipment for flax cultivation and harvesting to Russia’s Omsk Oblast, BelTA learned from the press service of the Agriculture and Food Ministry of Belarus.
The Agriculture and Food Ministry held a videoconference meeting with Omsk Oblast Agriculture and Food Minister Nikolai Drofa. “In 2023, Belarusian National Biotechnology Corporation supplied 159,500 tonnes of amino acids to companies from Omsk Oblast. In addition, Voronovo Agricultural Equipment shipped semi-trailers, adapters for applying organic fertilizers and spare parts for them and semi-trailers to the Russian region. Belarus imports confectionery products from Omsk Oblast,” the press service said.
Belarus can supply equipment for cultivating and harvesting flax to Omsk Oblast. Gomelagrokomplekt is to get a set of electronics for milking machines in May 2024.
According to the Agriculture and Food Ministry, in January 2024 the trade in food products and agricultural raw materials increased year-on-year. Belarus mostly exports milk and dairy products, canned fish, starch, and confectionery.
