MINSK, 14 May (BelTA) – Belarusian foods will be sold on the Vietnamese market. The relevant agreement was reached as a delegation of Belarusian food industry companies visited Vietnam. The delegation was led by Alexander Zabello, Chairman of the Belarusian state food industry concern Belgospishcheprom, the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BelTA.
The visit was arranged with assistance of the Embassy of Belarus in Vietnam. A Belarusian-Vietnamese business forum took place at premises of the Vietnamese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Belarusian foods were sampled. Members of the Belarusian delegation negotiated with representatives of the Vietnamese Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and a number of major Vietnamese trade companies, including Hapro, Viet Ha.
During meetings with managers of the company Carlsberg Vietnam a contract was signed on the delivery of a test batch of brewer’s malt made by Belsolod to Vietnam. Other major Vietnamese brewing companies, including Habeco and Viet Ha, also expressed interest in importing high-quality Belarusian malt.
