MINSK, 15 March (BelTA) – The first Belarus-made COVID prototype vaccine will be rolled out in April, Healthcare Minister Dmitry Pinevich told reporters prior to the final board of the Healthcare Ministry, BelTA has learned.
“As for the domestic vaccine, we are set to receive the first prototype vaccine in April/ After that it will go to preclinical and clinical trials. We plan to register it by the end of this year,” said Dmitry Pinevich.
The project to launch the production of a domestic COVID-19 vaccine is running at the premises of BelVitunipharm. The work on the vaccine development is carried out by organizations subordinate to the Healthcare Ministry and the National Academy of Sciences.
