MOSCOW, 13 April (BelTA) – The new price Belarus will pay for natural gas will be less than $130 per 1,000m3. The information was released by Russian Vice Premier Arkady Dvorkovich after a package of Belarusian-Russian documents on cooperation in oil and natural gas affairs was signed in Moscow on 13 April, BelTA has learned.
According to Arkady Dvorkovich, Gazprom will determine the final discount that will be applied to the contract price for natural gas for Belarus. “Taking into account the discount the price will be under $130,” specified the vice premier.
Speaking about the currency that the sides intend to use to make transactions in the future, Arkady Dvorkovich noted that various options are under consideration now, no final decision has been made yet. According to Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Vladimir Semashko, the Russian ruble is likely to become the currency for Belarus-Russia financial transactions.
