MINSK, 18 August (BelTA) – Belarus will participate in an international expo in Syria, BelTA learned from the BelInterExpo enterprise of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BelCCI).
Major enterprises representing food industry, mechanical engineering industry, and other spheres of Belarus will participate in the seventh international expo Rebuild Syria. They will showcase products and services, which are in demand in the Middle East. The expo is scheduled to take place in Damascus on 28 September – 2 October.
Head of the Foreign Markets Diversification Department at Minsk Dairy Plant No.1 Mohamad Bashar Assad said: “In Syria there is a demand for chocolate-glazed curd bars and milk cocktails as well as butter. We intend to build up cooperation and increase delivery volumes of these products to countries in this region. Personal meetings and contacts with Syrian business partners are significant. They allow establishing trustful relations with them. The expo offers opportunities for that.”
The Rebuild Syria expo will feature a number of topical areas such as power engineering, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, petrochemical industry, agriculture, food industry, environmental protection, information technologies, insurance and banking, education, and healthcare.
The Belarusian exposition has been organized by the exhibition enterprise BelInterExpo of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The exposition will take place with assistance of the Belarusian embassy in Syria.
