MINSK, 20 August (BelTA) – Belarus will present a national exposition at the 12th international aviation and space salon MAKS that will take place at premises of the transport and exhibition complex Russia in Zhukovsky, Moscow Oblast on 25-30 August, BelTA learned from Vladimir Lavrenyuk, spokesman of the State Defense Industries Committee of Belarus.
The Belarusian booth will feature aircraft armament and equipment manufacturing, upgrading, and retooling capabilities of OAO 558 Aircraft Repair Plant, OAO Minsk Research Institute of Radiomaterials, OAO Design Bureau Display, and ZAO BelTechExport. The Belarusian defense industry will also be represented by OAO Orsha Aircraft Repair Plant, OAO Defense Initiatives, ZAO Aeromash, OAO 2TS Engineering, and OAO Integral.
During MAKS 2015 the Belarusian side intends to hold negotiations and meetings with top officers of federal government agencies, organizations and enterprises of Russia, heads of delegations of foreign countries to discuss prospects of cooperation in military technology.
The Belarusian delegation will be led by Sergei Gurulev, Chairman of the State Defense Industries Committee.
MAKS 2015 will also feature expositions by Germany, France, the USA, India, China, Iran, Canada, Switzerland, Czechia and other ones. As many as 760 companies from 30 countries intend to take part in exhibition activities during MAKS 2015. Among other names the number includes Airbus Group, Boeing, Pratt & Whitney, Safran, and Rolls-Royce.
