Belarus to partake in International Technical Fair in Bulgaria

MINSK, 25 September (BelTA) – The Belarusian State University (BSU) will present some 30 science and technology solutions at International Technical Fair to be held in the Bulgarian city of Plovdiv from 28 September through 3 October, BelTA learned from the BSU press service.

The BSU will showcase such innovative technologies as the production of goods from polyurethane foam, the use of switched mode power supply units for high-capacity power stations with embedded microprocessors, satellite systems for remote monitoring of movement of an object, and sorbents for treating industrial sewage and collecting hydrocarbon oils and organic matters after accidental spills. The solutions will be put on display on the Belarusian national stand.

International Technical Fair is one of the most prestigious business forums in the field of cutting-edge technologies and investment in Southeast Europe. The world’s leading companies will showcase their recent developments in machine building and transport, IT and software engineering, electrical engineering, and other sectors of industry. As many as ten international expos are organized as part of the fair. The program of International Technical Fair traditionally includes events with the participation of government officials, business specialists, and chief executives of the biggest companies.

The Belarusian national stand will feature science and technology solutions developed by the institutions of the Education Ministry and the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and achievements in such fields as machine building, power engineering, electrical engineering, and chemical industry. The stand will present Belarus’ export and investment potential. Partaking in the fair will be 23 agencies and institutions. It is expected that the fair will help Belarus expand the range of exports to the countries of Southeast Europe.
