MINSK, 22 April (BelTA) – A collective stand of Belarusian companies will be presented during China’s largest food expo SIAL China 2016 that will take place in Shanghai on 5-7 May, BelTA learned from representatives of the BelInterExpo enterprise of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The collective exposition will include six Belarusian companies: OAO Agrokombinat Dzerzhinskiy, OAO Brest Meat Packing Plant, OOO Veles Meat, OAO Verkhnedvinsk Cheese and Butter Making Plant, OAO Milkavita, and the bakery and confectionery company Domochay. The Belarusian companies will showcase meat delicatessen, sausages, semi-finished products, poultry products, all kinds of cheese, butter, milk powder, milk whey, bakery and confectionery, and frozen foods.
An official Belarusian delegation led by Agriculture and Food Minister Leonid Zayats will travel to China. According to BelInterExpo, so far the agriculture ministers of Russia, France, Poland, Czechia, and Brazil have confirmed they will take part in the SIAL China expo.
SIAL China is one of the world’s largest food expos. It has been held in Shanghai since 2000. The expo showcases foods, non-alcohol and alcohol beverages, hospitality industry products and services, cutting-edge technologies and special equipment for food and packaging enterprises. In 2016 about 2,900 exhibitors from over 70 countries are expected to take part in the expo. This year’s SIAL China is expected to attract about 80,000 people. The exhibition area will exceed 130,000m2.
