MINSK, 4 July (BelTA) – The National Center for Marketing and Price Studies of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has signed an agreement on setting up a Belarusian contact office in Qingdao, China. The office will be tasked with providing comprehensive support to Belarusian exporters with a view to penetrating the regional market. The agreement was signed with the Chinese company Qingdao Feichuang Investment Company with assistance of the Embassy of Belarus in China, representatives of the National Center for Marketing and Price Studies of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BelTA.

The Belarusian contact office will be located in the Belt & Road Collaborative Innovation Center (BRCIC) in Qingdao.

Any Belarusian company interested in penetrating the Chinese market will get an opportunity to appoint a representative to the contact center on preferential terms. The contact center will offer office equipment and office space in the BRCIC center free of charge. Utility costs will be covered. The contact center will help establish wholesale trade in Belarusian products. Warehouses and exhibition space for demonstrating samples will be arranged. An assistant will be assigned for organizing the work and translating documents from and to Chinese. The representatives of Belarusian companies will also get an apartment as an accommodation option. Preferences of the contact office in Qingdao will be available only to companies approved by the National Center for Marketing and Price Studies of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The establishment of the Belarusian contact office in China is expected to become a serious step in accelerating the advancement of Belarusian-Chinese cooperation in trade, finance, tourism, and education.

The BRCIC occupies about 13.5ha in Qingdao, Shandong Province, China. It is a 15-story building with office premises with the total area of 15,000m2. Embassies of a number of African and Asian countries have opened their national offices in the Belt & Road Collaborative Innovation Center so far. There are plans to set up offices of 12 countries and a visa consultation center in the building. As the second stage of the project there are plans to erect four buildings with the total area of 100,000m2. They will focus on Africa, Europe, Asia, and America respectively.
