Belarus to increase oil export duties on 1 February

MINSK, 28 January (BelTA) – On 1 February 2021 Belarus will increase export duties on oil and some oil products, which are exported outside the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). The decision was formalized by the Council of Ministers’ resolution No.42 of 27 January 2021, BelTA has learned.

In line with the document the size of the export duty on crude oil, furnace oil, oil bitumen, and used oil products will be $43.8 per tonne ($38.7 previously). The export duty on straight-run gasoline will be set at $24 per tonne ($21.2 previously). As for the size of export duties on commercial gasoline, light and middle distillates, diesel fuel, benzene, toluene, xylene, lubricants, and other oils, it will go up to $13.1 per tonne from $11.6 per tonne.

The export duties on crude oil and some categories of derivative oil products were previously revised downwards on 1 January.
