MINSK, 25 August (BelTA) - The first class pay rate of public-sector employees will be increased from Br31 to Br33 in Belarus on 1 September. The decision is contained in Resolution No.642 of the Council of Ministers of 24 August 2017, BelTA has learned.
The first-class pay rate to calculate wages of the employees of budget-financed organizations will be increased by 6.5%. The size of the adjusting coefficients and monthly differentiated benefits will remain the same, the Labor and Social Security Ministry said.
According to Belarus’ National Statistics Committee, the average number of public-sector workers is 859,200.
The national government bodies, local executive and regulatory agencies, heads of budget-financed organizations have been instructed to re-calculate wages of their employees in line with the established first-class pay rate and the coefficients of the unified wage scale of the employees of the Republic of Belarus, taking into account the adjusting coefficients and monthly differentiated benefits.
The first class pay rate was raised to Br31 on 1 January 2017. Monthly differentiated benefits for employees of budget-financed organizations were set at Br5-7-8.6.
