Belarus to hold nearly 60 events during European Quality Week

MINSK, 4 November (BelTA) – Up to 60 events of various format are planned in Belarus during the European Quality Week on 7-13 November, BelTA learned from the press service of the State Committee for Standardization.

The Committee is expected to organize business meetings, roundtable sessions, seminars and trainings with the organizations of the food, light, construction, furniture, mechanical engineering, petrochemical, oil refinery and other industries and business in Minsk, Brest, Bobruisk, Vitebsk, Gomel, Grodno, Kalinkovichi, Orsha, Polotsk, Mogilev, Molodechno, Slutsk. The events will highlight the application of technical regulations of the Customs Union and Belarus, metrological activity, accreditation, testing and management system operation.

Hotlines will be opened for economic entities and sole proprietors at the Center of Testing and Certification and also centers of standardization, metrology and certification in Brest, Baranovichi, Grodno, Mogilev and Orsha.

Doors Open Days and Quality Days will be held by the Belarusian State Institute of Metrology, Belarusian State Accreditation Center, the centers of standardization, metrology and certification of Bobrusik, Borisov, Baranovichi, Lida, Mogilev, Orsha, Polotsk, Pinsk and Slutsk, the Center of Testing and Certification.

The European Quality Week is organized by the European Organization for Quality (EOQ). It takes place in November during the week that includes the second Thursday of the month - World Quality Day. In 2016 World Quality Day will be marked on 10 November. The European Quality Week will be held on 7-13 November 2016 under the motto Quality for Results.
