NUR-SULTAN, 30 June (BelTA-Kazinform) – Kazakhstan will begin shipping oil and oil products to Belarus in autumn 2021 at the earliest, Kazakh Energy Minister Nurlan Nogayev said.
The official said: “An agreement on shipping oil and oil products to the Republic of Belarus has been signed recently. Now we have to ratify this agreement. Once the parliament ratifies the agreement, we will put together a plan and a list of goods, which can be shipped to the Republic of Belarus. The kinds of oil products and the volumes will be discussed then.”
The official specified that it will not happen before autumn. “The seventh session of the Kazakh parliament was closed today. Once the parliament resumes work in autumn, we will bring in the agreement for ratification,” Nurlan Nogayev specified.
A Belarusian-Kazakh intergovernmental agreement on trade and economic cooperation in the area of deliveries of oil and oil products to Belarus was signed in Kazakhstan’s capital on 28 June as a result of negotiations between Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko and Kazakhstan Prime Minister Askar Mamin. Belarusian First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Aleksandr Guryanov said that Belarusian and Kazakh commercial entities would discuss specific volumes and time for oil deliveries soon.
