Belarus to borrow $20m from OPEC Fund for healthcare needs

MINSK, 12 March (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has signed presidential decree No.89 to approve the credit agreement between Belarus and the OPEC Fund for International Development (a program on emergency aid in the sphere of public healthcare). The agreement was signed on 24 December 2020, the press service of the head of state told BelTA.

The agreement provides for lending $20 million to Belarus for the sake of financing COVID-19-related healthcare measures.
