MINSK, 18 October (BelTA) – Belarus and Tatarstan plan to develop cooperation in the machine tool industry. The matter was discussed at a meeting between Belarusian Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov and Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov on 18 October, BelTA has learned.
“We have already marked certain progress in cooperation in the area and have even outlined parent companies. On Belarus’ behalf it is Minsk Machine-Tool Plant (MZOR) that is focused on development of cooperation in modernizing the machine-tool fleet in Tatarstan. We would like to have the corresponding company from Russia as well. We are ready to work in this direction,” said Andrei Kobyakov.
Rustam Minnikhanov said for his part that the Belarus-Tatarstan cooperation in the machine-tool industry is an important issue today. “We need to consider the matter in detail taking into account the forthcoming modernization of our aircraft manufacturing plant and other mechanical engineering companies,” the President of Tatarstan said.
