Belarus takes part in Armenia Expo in Yerevan

MINSK, 16 September (BelTA) - The Belarusian state food industry concern Belgospishcheprom has showcased the biggest Made in Belarus exposition at the 20th  regional universaltrade-industrial expo-forum Armenia Expo which is underway in Yerevan on 16-18 September, BelTA learned from the Belgospishcheprom concern.

Among the exhibitors at one of the biggest exhibitions in Transcaucasia are 17 Belgospishcheprom companies, including Krasny Pischevik, Kommunarka, Krasny Mozyryanin, Spartak, Slodych, Malorita Canning and Vegetable Drying Plant, Gamma Vkusa, Mashpishcheprod, Minsk Sparkling Wines Factory, Slutsk Sugar Refinery, Gorodeya Sugar Refinery, Minsk Kristall – Holding Managing Company Minsk Kristall Group, Krinitsa, Minsk Margarine Plant, Lidapischekontsentraty, Belkofe, and Interferm.

Belgospishcheprom head Anatoly Buben took part in the opening of the forum and held meetings with Armenian network retailers and food distributors to discuss the organization of export supplies of Belarusian confectionery, alcoholic (vodka, sparkling wines, beer) and other products.

The Belgospishcheprom chairman is also set to discuss the prospects of bilateral cooperation with the leadership of the Multi Group concern. The program will also include a round table of Belarusian producers with the leadership of the Armenian-Belarusian trading house Ar-Be.

“There is a trading house in Armenia, Ar-Be, which sells our products. This year we have more than doubled our sales here. That is not the limit yet. We plan to increase our presence in the Armenian market. Our enterprises have showcased the best samples of their products. We hope for good contracts and long-term cooperation. I believe this exhibition will give a good impetus to promote our goods in foreign markets, including in Armenia,” said Anatoly Buben.

Belgospishcheprom exports almost all descriptions of its lineup to Armenia. In January-July 2021, exports to Armenia amounted to $640,700 or 215,4% against the same stretch a year ago. Products of 17 Belgospishcheprom enterprises are exported.
