MINSK, 20 April (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Tajikistan Viktor Denisenko met with Economic Development and Trade Minister of Tajikistan Zavki Zavkizoda, the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BelTA.
The sides discussed a broad range of matters concerning Belarus-Tajikistan economic cooperation. The sides positively evaluated the dynamics of development of bilateral trade.
Apart from that, an agreement was reached to put more efforts into the realization of new projects and into support for existing joint ventures.
Belarus-Tajikistan diplomatic relations were established on 5 September 1996. Embassies are open in both countries. Belarus-Tajikistan cooperation has reached the level of strategic partnership, which is formalized as the relevant agreement. The agreement came into force in June 2020.
