MINSK, 8 January (BelTA) – Belarus and Syria have discussed prospects of creating joint assembly enterprises, representatives of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry told BelTA.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Syria Alexander Ponomarev met with Umar Ghalawanji, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Local Administration of Syria, on 8 January. The sides discussed supplies of Belarusian trucks, passenger vehicles, road construction machines to Syria and prospects of establishing joint assembly enterprises in Syria, said the source.
BelTA has been told that the sides also touched upon preparations for the session of the Belarusian-Syrian intergovernmental commission that is scheduled to take place in January 2015.
On 7 January Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Pakistan Andrei Yermolovich met with Tanveer Hussain, Minister of Science and Technology of Pakistan. The sides discussed cooperation between Belarus and Pakistan in the sphere of science and technologies, discussed prospects of setting up a bilateral commission for scientific and technical cooperation.
