MINSK, 9 September (BelTA) – Belarus and Switzerland are gearing up for a session of the committee on trade and economic cooperation. The organization of the session was in focus of a meeting between Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Switzerland Aleksandr Ganevich and Head of the Bilateral Economic Relations Division of Switzerland’s State Secretariat for Economic Affairs and Federal Council Delegate for Trade Agreements Erwin Bollinger, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Embassy in Austria.
The negotiations also featured representatives of the embassy and the Bilateral Economic Relations Division for Europe and Central Asia of the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs of Switzerland. “The participants focused on the preparations for the 11th session of the Belarus-Switzerland joint committee on trade and economic cooperation. The previous session took place in Bern in June 2018,” the embassy noted.
The parties stressed that it is important to continue regular activities of the joint committee and to enhance trade, economic, and investment cooperation between Belarus and Switzerland. They also exchanged opinions about the tendencies in economic development.
