MINSK, 28 March (BelTA) – Belarus’ Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Andrei Khudyk has met with Alla Tragl, President of Paxus Group AB and Tragl Technology, the Swedish companies which develop technology for ore dressing and waste management, BelTA learned from the press service of the ministry.
Andrei Khudyk emphasized the interest in exploring the possibilities and prospects for implementing projects on the use and recycling of industrial waste generated by enterprises in Belarus. “It is advisable to rely on the experience of foreign countries in resolving these issues. However, the implementation of such projects should not only be socially-oriented, but also produce economic benefits. Most importantly, such projects should help improve the environmental situation in Belarus. Waste management remains a relevant issue for us as the amount of waste generated in the country has been recently on the rise. This is primarily due to an increase in the production capacity of the country's enterprises,” he said.
Taking part in the meeting were also representatives of Belaruskali, the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. Alla Tragl got those present familiar with innovative technologies for industrial waste processing based on the principles of non-waste production, and also nano- and environmental technologies. The participants discussed the areas for the possible use of these technologies and agreed on further cooperation in industrial waste management.
