Belarus steps up cooperation with Finland’s major power equipment producer

MINSK, 24 April (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Finland Aleksei Samosuyev met with top managers of Finland’s Wartsila Finland Oy, the global leader in smart technologies for the marine and energy markets, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Embassy in Finland.

During the working trip to the city of Vaasa, Ambassador Aleksei Samosuyev visited the office of Wartsila Finland Oy and held talks with the vice president, the managing director, and department heads. “The ambassador got familiar with the manufacturing process of equipment for power plants, relevant innovative technologies, and developments to improve environmental and economic performance,” the embassy noted.

The parties discussed participation of the Finnish company in the current energy projects in Belarus and agreed to develop new proposals to promote ties between Belarus and Wartsila Finland Oy in energy sector.
