BAKU, 15 May (BelTA) - Belarusian producers have signed agreements worth $54 million at the Azerbaijan International Exhibition Agriculture (Caspian Agro) in Baku, BelTA has learned.
The signing ceremony, which included 20 contracts, memorandums and agreements, took place after the opening ceremony of the agricultural forum. According to the agreements, Belarusian companies will supply $43 million worth of products to Azerbaijan and import $11 million worth of raw materials and other goods.
“This, of course, comes on previously worked out projects. We have three more days of work, and I think a number of contracts will be signed in addition,” Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mikhail Myatlikov said.
Azerbaijani international exhibitions Caspian Agro and InterFood Azerbaijan are underway in Baku on 15-17 May. This is the largest agricultural forum in the Caucasus. This time the exhibitions have united about 500 companies from 38 countries. Belarus has been presenting its products here for the fifth consecutive year. Over 40 Belarusian companies have come to the Azerbaijani capital this time. A total of 15 countries presented their national pavilions.
