MINSK, 9 July (BelTA) – Belarus wants to boost export of agricultural products to Qatar, BelTA learned from the Telegram channel of the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry.
Belarusian Agriculture and Food Minister Ivan Krupko met with Charge d'Affaires ad interim of the State of Qatar in Belarus Meshaal Al Attiyah to discuss the state of the trade and economic cooperation between the two countries and its development prospects.
“Belarus is keen to increase supplies of agricultural products to the market of Qatar, including products from powdered milk, butter, whole-milk products, poultry, and flour. The countries are also interested in participating in exhibitions held in Belarus and Qatar,” the press service noted.
In 2020, Belarus’ export of agricultural and food products to Qatar totaled $292,200. Major exports included canned fish products, milk whey, condensed cream, cream powder, milk, and other products.
In January-May 2021, Belarus’ export of agricultural and food products to Qatar came at $116,500, with canned fish products and some other goods making up the bulk of export.
