SAINT PETERSBURG, 29 January (BelTA) – Belarus and Saint Petersburg plan to set up a joint venture to produce automatic molding machines with a high degree of localization. The project was discussed during Belarus’ Premier Andrei Kobyakov’s visit to the Plastic Processing Plant named after Komsomolskaya Pravda on 29 January, BelTA informs.
Andrei Kobyakov was shown the automatic molding machine AtlantT125 of the Baranovichi machine-tool plant that was supplied to Saint Petersburg in June 2015.
According to Piotr Khimich, chief engineer at the Plastic Processing Plant named after Komsomolskaya Pravda, the Belarusian equipment has showed itself to a good advantage. “We can say it is “a working platform”,” he said.
According to the specialist, ZAO Atlant [which subsidiary is the Baranovichi machine-tool plant – BelTA] provides maintenance of automatic molding machines.
Andrei Kobyakov is in Russia on a working visit on 28-29 January. The meeting of the Belarus-Saint Petersburg Business Cooperation Council is scheduled for 29 January.
