MINSK, 8 June (BelTA) – Belarus and Russia will continue the dialogue about the price for natural gas. Prime Minister of Belarus Andrei Kobyakov made the statement on the sidelines of the plenary session of the third Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia on 8 June, BelTA has learned.
“We’ve discussed [the natural gas price] and will continue negotiating it. We have not come up with concrete decisions for now, but there are areas we are going to continue talking about,” noted the Prime Minister.
During the expanded-participation meeting of the presidents of Belarus and Russia in Minsk earlier that day Andrei Kobyakov noted it was necessary to discuss the principal approach to determining the price for the natural gas Belarus gets from the Russian company Gazprom. “There are two aspects to it — the economic one and the legal one,” said the Prime Minister.
