MINSK, 19 September (BelTA) - Maksim Tank Belarusian State Pedagogical University and Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University will develop an inclusive education program for primary schools. It is envisaged in an additional agreement to the agreement on cooperation between the two universities. The document will be signed during a working visit of Education Minister Igor Karpenko to Kaliningrad Oblast, the Russian Federation on 19-20 September, BelTA learned from the press service of the Education Ministry.
The additional agreement envisages the development of the content, scientific and methodic support and the implementation of the education program of the international network-based project Inclusive Education in Primary Schools. A memorandum of cooperation will be signed between the Education Ministries of Belarus and Kaliningrad Oblast, and also an agreement on cooperation and joint activity between the National Institute for Vocational Education of Belarus and the Institute of Education Development of Kaliningrad Oblast.
During the visit Igor Karpenko is expected to meet with acting Deputy Chairman of Government Ilya Barinov and First Deputy Education Minister of Kaliningrad Oblast Margarita Korotkevich. The Belarusian delegation will visit a number of educational institutions. The delegation has comprised Rector of the Maksim Tank Belarusian State Pedagogical University Alexander Zhuk, Rector of the National Institute for Vocational Education Valery Golubovsky and Deputy Director of the Lyceum of the Belarusian State University Anna Chubarova.
“The visit of the delegation will help outline new long-term cooperation prospects in the education area, promote the full realization of the potential of mutually beneficial relations and the development of a constructive dialogue at all the levels of collaboration,” the Education Ministry noted.
