MINSK, 17 July (BelTA) - In January-June 2018 the retail sector in Belarus expanded by 9.3% in comparable prices versus January-June 2017 to reach Br21 billion, BelTA learned from the National Statistics Committee.
In H1 2018 wholesale trade totaled Br44.4 billion, up by 6.8% in comparable prices from January-June 2017.
In January-June 2018, one-day retail sales per capita made up Br12.2 as against Br10.9 in January-June 2017.
Retail trade by trade companies accounted for 88.9% of the total and amounted to Br18.7 billion, up by 12.2% in comparable prices.
In H1 2018, trade by public catering outlets totaled Br1.2 billion and saw a 13.2% increase in comparable prices versus the same period a year prior.
