MINSK, 9 March (BelTA) – Belarus is ready to sell a wide range of products to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Belarus’ First Vice Premier Vasily Matyushevsky said during his meeting with North Korean Foreign Minister Ri Su-yong on 9 March, BelTA has learned.
Vasily Matyushevsky noted that Belarus is interested in strengthening cooperation with partner states. “One of Belarus’ traditional priorities is the development of mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation,” he said and added that the Belarus-North Korea economic ties have huge potential that has not been fully used yet.
Vasily Matyushevsky also said that Belarus is eager to export a wide range of goods to North Korea, including engineering products, petrochemicals, and other goods.
The delegation of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea is set to visit Belarusian major enterprises such as Minsk Automobile Plant, Minsk Tractor Works, and the mechanical engineering company Amkodor. Vasily Matyushevsky believes that the current visit of the North Korean delegation to Belarus will give an additional impetus to the development of the bilateral cooperation.
