ASHGABAT, 30 March (BelTA) – Belarus is ready to provide logistics centers to Turkmenistan to organize the delivery of products to Europe, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said at the extended negotiations with Turkmenistan President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow on 30 March, BelTA has learned.
“You can sell your products from the territory of Belarus on the European premium market. We will provide logistics centers, warehouses, equipment. This segment is vigorously developing in Belarus. Think what to sell in Europe to get maximum benefits, we will determine ways,” Alexander Lukashenko said.
The President noted that China has already used this opportunity.
The head of state also added that many countries saw a kind of a springboard in Turkmenistan which can be used for the trade with large regions, the delivery of goods to, for example, Iran, Pakistan, India, and Arab countries. “You have done a lot to attract investments to your country and make leading countries and companies from all over the world interested in Turkmenistan. It happened thanks to your idea to develop logistics, transport corridors,” the President remarked.
“We need to make up our minds and choose a corridor for the transportation of our cargoes here and especially from here because a large petrochemical branch comprising 7-10 plants will be launched in 3-5 years. We need these products, including at Mogilevkhimvolokno,” Alexander Lukashenko said. “I am not speaking about cotton – a traditional product which we can get by roads and railways in Belarus.”
