MINSK, 5 November (BelTA) - Belarus is ready to expand the range of goods supplied to China, Deputy Agriculture and Food Minister of Belarus Igor Brylo said at the opening of Belarus National Exposition at the China International Import Expo, BelTA has learned.
“In January-September 2020, Belarus’ food exports to China reached almost $187 million, 2.3 times up year-on-year. Supplies of Belarusian meat and dairy products to China are on the rise. We are ready to expand the range of supplied goods and offer Chinese consumers high quality cheese, butter, yogurt, whole milk, meat and other products. Today, Belarus produces over 500 types of meat products and over 1,500 types of dairy products,” the deputy minister said.
According to Igor Brylo, the event will let representatives of the two countries get to know each other better, assess the quality of products manufactured in Belarus and discuss options for mutually beneficial cooperation. “The event will not only help discuss contracts for mutual supplies of agricultural products but also to work out options for investment cooperation and participation in joint ventures in China and Belarus,” he said.
“We invite our Chinese partners to visit Belarus National Exposition online and get familiar with some of our country's products as well as to discuss the possibility of supplying these products to China. I hope that the participants and visitors of our exposition will be able to hold constructive negotiations, which will expand cooperation between Belarusian and Chinese partners,” the deputy minister said.
