MINSK, 27 June (BelTA) – Belarus is ready to boost the delivery of potash fertilizers, equipment, foodstuffs to Vietnam, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said at the extended meeting with Vietnam President Tran Dai Quang on 27 June, BelTA has learned.
“Belarus is ready not only to boost the delivery of potash fertilizers, freight and quarry equipment, buses, and other industrial products to Vietnam but also to increase the purchase of Vietnamese products,” the head of state said.
In his words, Belarus is interested in the import of sea products, fish, rice, tea, coffee, spices, tropical fruit, rubber, and other products. Vietnamese companies, in turn, can take part in various projects in Belarus, including in the agricultural industry, manufacturing, and tourism.
“In this context, it is important to use the advantages of the free trade zone between Vietnam and Belarus which is a member state of the Eurasian Economic Union,” the president remarked.
He also said that there are new opportunities for closer cooperation. The sides can, for example, set up joint ventures and service centers, take part in promising infrastructure projects. “We are ready to provide maximum assistance to our Vietnamese partners in the work on the Belarusian market,” the Belarusian leader said.
