ISTANBUL, 12 November (BelTA) – Belarus is ready to set up assembly enterprises on the basis of broad manufacturing cooperation with Turkish companies, BelTA learned from Prime Minister of Belarus Andrei Kobyakov during the Belarusian investment forum in Istanbul on 12 November.
Andrei Kobyakov said: “The Belarusian side is ready to set up assembly enterprises in Turkey on the basis of broad manufacturing cooperation with Turkish companies, ready to supply Amkodor road construction machines, BelAZ mine dump trucks, MAZ trucks and buses, MTZ tractors, and Gomselmash harvesters.” The Prime Minister stressed that the machines and vehicles are of high quality, easy to operate, and are competitive.
Andrei Kobyakov also stated that Belarus sees prospects for cooperation in the area of light industry, construction materials production, agribusiness, transport, logistics, and communications.
The Belarusian head of government said: “Belarus’ traditional advantage for investors is the convenient geographical location, high qualifications of specialists, high technical expertise of enterprises, the stable social and economic development situation, and consistent actions of the financial authorities.” In his words, another substantial advantage is Belarus’ membership in the Eurasian Economic Union. “It is a 180-million-strong market with free flow of commodities, services, capital, and workforce, unified tariff regulations, and equal business operation terms,” noted Andrei Kobyakov.
