MINSK, 22 September (BelTA) – Another round of Belarus-Qatar ministerial consultations has been held in Doha. Taking part in the meeting were Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Mikalai Barysevich and Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar Dr. Ahmed bin Hassan Al Hammadi, BelTA learned from the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus.
The parties discussed cooperation in politics, humanitarian field, sports, aviation, the legal framework of bilateral cooperation, inter-parliamentary contacts and interaction in international organizations.
“The parties noted that intensification of contacts in investment, trade and economy is a priority area of bilateral cooperation. They also exchanged views on the regional agenda,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted.
Mikalai Barysevich and Chairman of the Board of the Development Bank of Belarus Aleksandr Yegorov met with senior officials of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of Qatar, the Qatar Development Bank and other agencies. The parties discussed cooperation in lending and investment. “During the meeting hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of Qatar, the parties scheduled the next sessions of the Belarus-Qatar intergovernmental committee and the Belarus-Qatar business council in Minsk,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed.
