MINSK, 16 May (BelTA) – Belarus pharmaceutical industry has been presented at the international business forum “Belarus-Tajikistan-Afghanistan”. The information about it was posted on the website of the Healthcare Ministry with reference to Anatoly Grushkovsky who is in charge of the ministry’s foreign contacts, BelTA has learnt.
A delegation of Belarus’ Healthcare Ministry led by Healthcare Minister Valery Malashko is in Dushanbe as Alexander Lukashenko is on a visit to Tajikistan. Dushanbe is hosting major events dedicated to Belarus. Among them is the second international business forum “Belarus-Tajikistan-Afghanistan” where Director General of Belpharmprom Holding Valery Shevchuk presented Belarus’ pharmaceutical industry. Negotiations were held with major pharmaceutical companies from Tajikistan and Afghanistan.
Earlier, Valery Malashko and Minister of Health and Social Protection of Population of Tajikistan Nasim Hoja Olimzoda had discussed communication of experience in healthcare provision, treatment of Tajikistan’s citizens at Belarusian science and research centers, training of students at Belarusian universities and supply of medicines to Tajikistan.
During the visit, practical actions were undertaken to expand cooperation in the field of education and training. Agreements were signed between the Healthcare Ministry of Belarus and the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of Population of Tajikistan and between the Belarusian State Medical University and the Tajik State Medical University.
Belarus’ National Expo officially opened in Tajikistan’s capital Dushanbe on 15 May. The expo presents Belarus’ leading producers of pharmaceutical products and medical equipment as well as healthcare institutions.
