MOSCOW, 11 September (BelTA) - Belarus was the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) leader in terms of industrial production growth in January-July 2023, BelTA learned from the press service of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).
In January-July 2023, all member-states of the Eurasian Economic Union reported an increase in industrial output at 2.8% to the level of January-July 2022. “Belarus posted 7.1% growth, Kazakhstan - 3.6%, Russia - 2.6%, Armenia – 0.5%, Kyrgyzstan registered a decline of 1.8%,” the EEC said.
In January-July 2023, the manufacturing industry in the EAEU expanded by 6.1%. Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning remained went up by 0.4%. The mining industry and quarrying declined by 0.7%; water supply, sewerage system, control over collection and distribution of waste - by 3.2%.
