MINSK, 12 October (BelTA) – Belarus and Poland have agreed to raise quotas on trucking permits for the year 2021, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Transport and Communications Ministry website.
The agreement was reached during a videoconference session of the Belarus-Poland commission on international transportation by road. Belarusian Deputy Transport and Communications Minister Sergei Dubina and Director of the Road Transport Department of the Infrastructure Ministry of Poland Bogdan Oleksiak took part in it.
Participants of the session analyzed economic data and information about the use of trucking permits in 2020.
As a result of the lengthy talks the sides agreed both countries will raise the quotas for the next year by 6,000.
The sides also exchanged information and statistics about mutual trade and about the development of freight and passenger transportation by road between Belarus and Poland.
