MINSK, 19 November (BelTA) – Belarus and Ecuador will step up cooperation in healthcare. The relevant memorandum of understanding was signed by the Ministries of Health of the two countries, BelTA learned from head of the external affairs department at the Belarusian Health Ministry Anatoly Grushkovsky.
The document was inked by Deputy Health Minister, Director of the Pharmaceutical Industry Department at the Belarusian Health Ministry Valery Shevchuk and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ecuador to Belarus Carlos Humberto Larrea Davila.
The main avenues of cooperation include joint healthcare research projects, treatment of rare diseases, exchange of visits and best practices between experts and scientists, participation in symposiums and conferences, joint personnel training programs, and coordination of scientific programs and research projects.
Special attention is paid to the export of Belarusian pharmaceuticals to Ecuador. “There is a demand for our medications in Ecuador. Our foreign colleagues have paid a visit to Belarus to inspect pharmaceutical enterprises, and now negotiations are underway to supply Belarusian pharmaceuticals to the Ecuadorian market,” Anatoly Grushkovsky noted.
