MINSK, 19 November (BelTA) – The Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BelCCI) hosted Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Philippines to Belarus with residence in Moscow Igor Garlit Bailen on 19 November, BelTA learned from the BelCCI.
The meeting focused on the cooperation between the BelCCI and the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI).
The memorandum of understanding between the BelCCI and the PCCI was signed in 2009. This document became the basis for further development of bilateral relations in trade and economy. The BelCCI pointed out that this document was updated during the visit of Belarusian First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Lukashevich to the Philippines in October 2024. This event emphasizes the desire of both sides to intensify cooperation and deepen business contacts.
It was proposed to discuss a possible visit of a business delegation under auspices of the PCCI to Belarus. The BelCCI is confident that such a visit could become an excellent opportunity for establishing business contacts and deepening mutual ties.
The parties expressed the hope for early resumption of an active dialogue and the successful conduct of future events to promote mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries.
