MINSK, 11 November (BelTA) – Belarus’ Paper Mill Spartak intends to increase paper recycling, BelTA learned from Ruzhena Novitskaya, the spokesperson of the Belarusian timber, woodworking, pulp and paper industry concern Bellesbumprom.
Paper Mill Spartak has almost finished the investment project to renovate the stock preparation facility and one of paper machines. The project is aimed at increasing the recycling of low-quality waste paper and is funded by the state-run company Operator of Secondary Material Resources (the budget of the project is about €6 million),” Ruzhena Novitskaya noted.
The project will help increase the paper machine capacity to 52,200 tonnes a year. Recycling of secondary waste (low-quality waste paper) will soar by 3.5 times – from 6,500 to 22,900 tonnes a year.
Moreover, another investment project to upgrade Slonim Cardboard and Paper Plant Albertin has been finished recently. The plant acquired a cardboard machine and a stock preparation line.
