MINSK, 20 November (BelTA) - Measures to enhance the Belarusian-Pakistani cooperation in healthcare and pharmaceuticals were discussed during the meeting of Belarus’ Ambassador to Pakistan Andrei Yermolovich with Federal Minister for National Health Services, Regulation and Coordination of Pakistan Aamir Mehmood Kiani, BelTA learned from the Belarusian embassy.
“The parties named one priority area of cooperation, which is the possibility of signing a bilateral agreement to regulate and systemize the Belarusian-Pakistani cooperation in medical tourism, taking into account Belarus’ experience and best practices in the sector,” the embassy said.
The diplomat conveyed an invitation from Belarus’ Healthcare Minister Valery Malashko to visit Belarus. The parties discussed the possibility of holding the first meeting of the joint Belarusian-Pakistani working group on healthcare and pharmaceuticals during the visit. An agreement was reached to organize a forum on the sidelines of the meeting with a broad participation of business representatives of Belarus and Pakistan.
