ISLAMAD, 5 October (BelTA) – Belarus and Pakistan analyze the prospects of setting up joint food production enterprises. The issue was discussed during the official talks of Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko and Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in the extended format, BelTA informs.
It was mentioned at the meeting that Belarus is waiting for the visit of Pakistan Minister of National Food Security and Research and a business delegation.
In this context, the sides discussed the visit of heads of the largest Belarusian meat and milk processing enterprises, manufacturers of baby and canned food to Pakistan, including Punjab region. It is expected that the visit, during which Belarusian specialists will get familiar with the prospects of setting up joint ventures, may take place by the end of the year.
Another issue on the agenda of the talks was the development of manufacturing cooperation. The sides discussed the enhancement of cooperation between Pakistani companies and such Belarusian enterprises as MTZ, MAZ, BelAZ, Amkodor, Gomselmash, Lidselmash, Bobruiskagromash.
The sides agreed that there are good prospects for advancing cooperation in the light industry, interbank cooperation, infrastructure projects, and other fields.
