MINSK, 15 February (BelTA) – Belarus’ part of the Joint Standing Committee on Cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Zimbabwe chaired by Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Aleinik held a meeting in Minsk in the run-up for its first session, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The participants discussed the implementation of the agreements reached during the state visit of Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko to Zimbabwe in 2023 as well as the implementation of the roadmap for the development of bilateral cooperation approved after the visit, and agreed on concrete steps to implement them in 2024.
The participants of the meeting outlined steps to expand cooperation between the countries in industry, agriculture and food security.
They also discussed the development of ties in healthcare, education, science and the development of business contacts between the two countries.
