Belarus mulls over national exposition in Jakarta in 2019

MINSK, 26 November (BelTA) – Belarus plans to showcase its national exposition in Jakarta in autumn 2019, Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BelCCI) Vladimir Ulakhovich said at the opening of Indonesia Business Expo on 24 November to mark 25 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries, BelTA has learned.

“We really want Belarus to become better known in Indonesia. We plan to organize the Belarusian national exposition in Jakarta next October, where Indonesian partners and friends will be able to see our new products, get familiar with our business, enterprises and culture,” Vladimir Ulakhovich said.

The chairman of the BelCCI noted that 25 years of diplomatic relations is probably not a very long time for history. Over the years, however, Belarus and Indonesia have strengthened friendly ties, increased trade and economic cooperation, and conducted a number of important state visits.

“As a result, today we can say that Belarus and Indonesia are countries that have great prospects in their cooperation, including in economy, trade, and tourism,” he stressed.

The Indonesia Business Expo took place at the BelExpo center on 24-25 November. Its visitors could get familiar with the culture and traditions of Indonesia, learn the history of the country, try national dishes and participate in a wide variety of master classes.
