GOMEL, 17 September (BelTA) – Mozyr Dairy Products has resumed shipments to China. This matter was discussed during Gomel Oblast Governor Gennady Solovei’s visit to the enterprise, BelTA has learned.
In August-September, the company supplied 125 tonnes of skimmed milk powder to China. Mozyr Dairy Products got access to this market in 2018 when the company was diversifying export to the EAEU and third countries: China, Pakistan, Morocco, and Turkey. Since 2018, the enterprise has complied with Islamic norms and Halal standards regarding the production of sterilized milk, milk powder, butter, and quark.
In H1 2020, Mozyr Dairy Products reported the foreign trade growth rate at 73.8%. Its main export markets included Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Ukraine.
The enterprise is operating as usual, the company’s director Yelena Kosukha said. On average, it receives over 270 tonnes of milk for processing every day. Raw materials come from agricultural enterprises of Mozyr District, Yelsk District, and Narovlya District. In January-July 2020, the revenues totaled Br67.8 million, 106.9% as against the same period of last year.
Owing to building new dairy farms and boosting output, Mozyr Dairy Products is increasing its milk processing capacity. For example, this year the company has implemented a project to commission a facility with milk processing installations with added capacity of 50 tonnes each. Projects to improve capacity and upgrade equipment for the REDA milk processing line are in the works.
Gomel Oblast Governor Gennady Solovei got familiar with the enterprise’s manufacturing capacity and social support programs for employees. He also met with the employees. The governor thanked them for their work, stressing that 9 out of 40 companies on the regional wall of honor are from Mozyr District.
Mozyr Dairy Products employs 460 people. The enterprise provides every one of them with Br100 worth of its products every month. The range of goods includes more than 70 products: various types of milk, fermented dairy products, sour cream, cream, quark, and quark products, desserts, and butter. All products are made only from natural milk.
