MINSK, 21 September (BelTA) – The expansion of trade and economic cooperation between Belarus and Mozambique was discussed during a meeting of Igor Leshchenya, Head of the Africa and Middle East Office of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mozambique to Russia with concurrent accreditation to Belarus Mario Ngwenya, the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BelTA.
The meeting focused on the implementation of the agreements reached during the visit of Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Valentin Rybakov to Mozambique in June 2015.
Close attention was paid to expanding trade and economic cooperation and forming a full-fledged legal base of the bilateral relations.
The Mozambique side was interested in the implementation of joint projects in the area of agriculture, representatives of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BelTA.
