MINSK, 23 January (BelTA) - Mountain Wax Plant (Pukhovichi District) has ambitious plans for the current year, including increasing the share of innovative products and gaining a foothold in new markets, particularly in Asia, Anna Mezentseva, head of the sales department, shared the enterprise’s goals for 2025 with BelTA.
“Last year, Mountain Wax Plant continued its cooperation on import substitution projects as part of roadmaps signed with domestic enterprises of the Industry Ministry and Belenergo,” the representative of the plant said. “The implementation of the import substitution program last year demonstrated positive dynamics in increasing the share of our company's presence in the market.”
The growth rate of the plant's production of import-substituting products in 2024 amounted to more than 115% in comparison with 2023. Today the enterprise faces no less ambitious tasks to work with domestic manufacturers.
Last year, with the plan of 17.5%, the actual volume of innovative products reached 19.1% of the total output. According to Natalya Senchuk, Chief Technologist at Mountain Wax Plant, it is expected that about one third of all products of the enterprise will be innovative in 2025. Its list includes new types of products developed and launched into manufacturing (transformer oil, wax emulsion, candles for garden heating), and also products with improved properties.
The development plan for new products has already been approved for this year. Chief Technologist Natalya Senchuk adds that the future work will result in the expansion of the list of commercial products with such innovative products as Belwax KP-8S compressor oil, Belwax MG-22V hydraulic oil, Belwax VMGZ-45 all-season thickened hydraulic oil, an anti-caking additive for urea, an analog of Buksol grease, microcrystalline wax, and more.
“It is great to realize that the products of Mountain Wax Plant are in demand in the markets, and our partners strive to maintain joint cooperation both in terms of supplying the plant's products and raw materials,” Anna Mezentseva said. “I believe that the changes of recent years have become a kind of a challenge and an incentive not to stop at what has been achieved, but to move forward. Last year the enterprise started entering the markets of Asian countries, and in 2025 it plans to further develop new regions.”
Mountain Wax Plant has been operating on the market for over 60 years and is the only producer of paraffins, modeling compounds, paraffin emulsions and protective waxes in Belarus. The products are widely used both at the enterprises of the country and abroad. The geography of supplies includes more than 20 countries of CIS and non-CIS countries. Innovations, modernization of production, strict quality control, expansion of the product range, constant development of sales channels help the company not only to remain a leader in its industry in Belarus, but also to be a serious competitor to its colleagues in foreign markets.
